Mens Volunteer Wellbeing Group

The weekly sessions are aimed at men wanting to improve their mental and physical well-being. Every Thursday afternoon we will be doing a different activity from drystone walling, wood-turning, black-smithing, dead hedge creation, tree-planting, log store construction, site maintenance and more. All tools and equipment are provided and plenty of help and support is provided so you will learn some new skills along the way. Each session will also involve a break for a brew and a slice of cake. On cold days we will get a campfire going and toast a marshmallow or two.
The practical tasks will be led by Peter Roworth, a local landscape gardener. The sessions are relaxed and informal – you do not have to attend every week.
