Every Thursday afternoon we will be doing a different activity from drystone walling\, wood-turning\, black-smithing\, dead hedge creation\, tree-planting\, log store construction\, site maintenance and more. All tools and equipment are provided and plenty of help and support is provided so you will learn some new skills along the way. Each session will also involve a break for a brew and a slice of cake. On cold days we will get a campfire going and toast a marshmallow or two.\nThe practical tasks will be led by Peter Roworth\, a local landscape gardener. The sessions are relaxed and informal – you do not have to attend every week.\nThe sessions are free to attend but you must register your interest here (by buying a free ticket on our website). DESCRIPTION:Our pilot hub at West Boldon Lodge runs a popular Forest Playschool programme where young families can explore their purpose-built forest school area and take part in a range of outdoor activities from crafts to bug hunts! \nForest Playschool is an outdoor experience for you and your child to explore\, discover\, and get close to nature. Old/scruffy clothes are best as we get quite muddy in some sessions! All sessions are outdoors in almost all weather conditions – wellies or sturdy shoes are a must and wrap up warm! \nSuitable for ages 1-5.\n \nDates: \nFridays from 26th January – 16th February\, 10am – 11:30am.\n \nTickets:  \n£28 per child for the full block of 4 sessions. 5% booking fee applies. SUMMARY:Mens Volunteer Wellbeing Group
DESCRIPTION:The weekly sessions are aimed at men wanting to improve their mental and physical well-being. Every Thursday afternoon we will be doing a different activity from drystone walling\, wood-turning\, black-smithing\, dead hedge creation\, tree-planting\, log store construction\, site maintenance and more. All tools and equipment are provided and plenty of help and support is provided so you will learn some new skills along the way. Each session will also involve a break for a brew and a slice of cake. On cold days we will get a campfire going and toast a marshmallow or two.\nThe practical tasks will be led by Peter Roworth\, a local landscape gardener. The sessions are relaxed and informal – you do not have to attend every week.\nThe sessions are free to attend but you must register your interest here (by buying a free ticket on our website).
