It’s National Tree Week, the UK’s largest annual tree celebration.
Each year, the country’s conservation sector, volunteer groups, and tree-lovers come together to plant thousands of trees to mark the start of the tree-planting season.

This year, the Tree Council is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its famous ‘Plant a Tree in 73’ campaign, with a new Grow a Tree in 23 initiative.
There are lots of ways that Green Community Hubs can support the campaign for tree planting, such as hosting a tree planting event or having a National Tree Week Tree Party! To get you inspired, they’ve collated a host of fantastic resources and ideas on their guidance hub.

They’ve also launched a Golden Orchards scheme where a free Golden Orchard pack of 5 (or 10 trees depending on availability) will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis to community groups across the UK.
