From 26th June – 5th July, our 5 pilot Green Community Hubs will each be holding a special open day event bringing together their local growers, volunteers, and community groups.

As part of the Northern Network, Groundwork is supporting 5 Green Community Hubs across 5 different Groundwork Trusts in the North of England. You can find out more about each of these below:
- Clay Pitts Park (supported by Groundwork Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside)
- Workington Green Community Hub (supported by Groundwork North East & Cumbria)
- West Boldon Lodge (supported by Groundwork South and North Tyneside)
- Horton Community Farm (supported by Groundwork Yorkshire)
- West Gorton Community Park (supported by Groundwork Greater Manchester)

All the Hubs will be coming together to celebrate their work in a series of open days we’ve called the Big Green Festival. Each day will be different, according to each unique Hub and their local community but you can expect anything from bug hunts and seed swaps to pizza and yoga!
So, if you’re local to one of our Hubs, pay them a visit on their open day to see what they’ve been up to and how you can get involved. You’ll be able to meet our Northern Network project facilitators too and talk to them about the Network and how it can support you.
